Ryan Manning – Scottsboro Police Department

In December 2021, Officer Ryan Manning was arrested and charged with child abuse and domestic violence after his infant daughter was found with multiple fractures. He was terminated from the department shortly after his arrest. In June 2023, Manning was acquitted of all charges, with the jury finding him not guilty. Following his acquittal, Manning filed a lawsuit against the Scottsboro Police Department and the city, alleging that his former colleagues and family members conspired against him, leading to his wrongful arrest and prosecution. The lawsuit claims negligence, false imprisonment, slander, libel, and abuse of process, among other allegations.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Violation of these rules will result in immediate content removal and possible account suspension.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
