On August 5, 2007, Officer Sipe threw a beer bottle through the window of a vehicle, shattering the glass and injuring the driver. He pleaded guilty to assault and criminal damage. Additionally, during an argument with his female companion, he pulled a gun on himself, which had to be forcibly removed by a third person. His certification was revoked on April 18, 2012.
