In August 2014, Officer Yarbrough obtained arrest warrants for Larry Donald Johnson without a complaint, affidavit, or other written statement made under oath. He then arrested Johnson, who was later acquitted of all charges. Johnson filed a lawsuit alleging violations of his Fourth Amendment rights and false imprisonment. The court found that Yarbrough’s actions were within his discretionary authority as a police officer.
