Create And Track Police Department History
Pima County Sheriff’s Detective David Tarnow was indicted in January 2016 on multiple counts, including trafficking, fraud, theft, and theft by extortion, after it was discovered he was selling items from the department’s evidence inventory at local pawnshops. His criminal behavior led to the dismissal of several high-profile burglary cases in which he was the lead detective, as his testimony was deemed no longer viable.
