Anthony Amirally – New York City Police Department

NYPD Officer arrested in Dec. 2018 in the Bronx for allegedly choking his mother during a family altercation. His mother declined to cooperate with prosecutors and the charges were dropped and sealed, but an NYPD internal review found him guilty of assaulting her. Amirally was ordered to attend counseling, given a 12-month dismissal probation, and docked 32 suspension days. He remains an active NYPD officer and has returned to full duty at the 28th Precinct despite the incident.
