On November 22, 2021, Officer Csendom crashed his personal vehicle into a power pole in Hillsborough County and was arrested for DUI. The department imposed a 160-hour suspension without pay, required abstention from alcohol for 18 months, subjected him to random alcohol and drug testing, and mandated counseling. He was reassigned from the K9 Unit to a patrol squad.
