Aaron Acree – Trigg County Sheriff’s Office

In November 2023, Sheriff Aaron Acree pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree official misconduct and two counts of menacing. One misconduct charge involved obtaining a free room at Lake Barkley State Park under the pretense of a drug investigation, which was actually used for personal purposes. The menacing charges related to an incident where Acree assaulted a woman arrested for burglarizing his home, including pushing her to the floor, grabbing her hair, and threatening to kill her. He was sentenced to 24 months of probation and fined $500. Despite these convictions, Acree remained in office as the charges were misdemeanors. Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Violation of these rules will result in immediate content removal and possible account suspension.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
