Adam Hanna – Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office

In 2021, while serving as undersheriff, Adam Hanna created fraudulent photo IDs falsely claiming over 10 years of police experience to qualify for concealed handgun carry. He used these IDs in a job application to the Prowers County Sheriff. An investigation led to charges including forgery, criminal impersonation, and first-degree official misconduct. Hanna entered a pre-trial diversion program, resulting in dropped charges, but was later decertified by the POST board in December 2022 for lying about the ID.
