Allen Poythress – Adamsville Police Department

In September 2020, Officer Allen Poythress was involved in an incident where he used a taser multiple times on a restrained inmate, violating the department’s use of force policy. This led to his termination on October 16, 2020. Subsequently, the Alabama Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission revoked his certification as a law enforcement officer in February 2022.
