As Sheriff from 2011 to 2018, Ana Franklin was involved in multiple misconduct incidents. She misappropriated $160,000 from the inmate food fund, investing $150,000 into a car dealership run by a convicted felon. Additionally, she engaged in extortion against a whistleblower, former jail warden Leon Bradley, by installing a keylogger on a blogger’s computer to gather information against him.
