Andrew Matson – Racine Police Department

In 2014, Officer Andrew Matson was involved in an incident where he tased Andre T. Evans during an arrest, which Evans claimed was unnecessary and in front of his family. Evans filed a federal lawsuit alleging excessive use of force and violation of his civil rights. In August 2023, the City of Racine considered settling the lawsuit for $20,000.
