Written by Between November 2019 and February 2022, former deputy Antonio Pearson engaged in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old minor, including sexual battery and encouraging the minor to send nude photos. In October 2020, he sent nude pictures of himself to the teen. Pearson was charged with misconduct in office, disseminating obscene material to a person under 18, second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 16, and first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was fired in February 2022 after the allegations surfaced. Pearson was arrested on August 18, 2022, and his bond was set at $87,500. The case is being prosecuted by the 3rd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
