Arthur Dale Collins – Webster County Sheriff’s Office

In 2020, Deputy Arthur Dale Collins engaged in a pattern of sexual abuse against female inmates at the Webster County Jail. His misconduct included tasing women for his own sexual gratification, verbal sexual harassment, ordering women to engage in sexual acts, and physical assault. Multiple complaints were filed against Collins, but they were ignored by jail officials. In September 2021, two women filed a federal civil rights lawsuit alleging serious sexual abuse by Collins and other deputies. Collins faced numerous charges for his abuse of women in the jail.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
