Beth Donovan – Boston Police Department

Deputy Superintendent Beth Donovan filed a lawsuit against the Boston Police Department alleging gender discrimination and retaliation. She claimed that after initiating an internal affairs investigation against a fellow officer in 2017, she faced demotion and suspension. In January 2024, the city of Boston reached a $2.4 million settlement with Donovan.
