Blair Fontenot – Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office

Deputy Blair Fontenot was involved in the 2017 wrongful arrest of Kayla Danielle Langley. After Deputy Richard ‘Rico’ Wiseman arrested Langley, he informed Fontenot that they might have arrested the wrong person. Fontenot instructed Wiseman to continue holding her. Langley was detained for several hours before release. A federal lawsuit was filed against Fontenot and other deputies, alleging violations of constitutional rights and inadequate training. Langley now suffers from depression and other mental health conditions due to the incident.
