Sergeant Faber resigned in December 2023 following an audit that uncovered unauthorized payments and benefits totaling $27,000 to him and three other officers from the Overland Park Police Officers Foundation. Despite evidence of violating the foundation’s bylaws, no criminal charges were filed.
