Brandon Shane Mundy – Town Creek Police Department

On November 22, 2009, during a vehicle pursuit, Officer Mundy fired shots at a suspect’s vehicle, causing it to crash into a ditch. After the suspect was arrested without resistance by another officer, Mundy unjustifiably and repeatedly struck the suspect in the head with a baton or flashlight, resulting in physical injury. He continued to assault the suspect with his fists after losing control of the object. Mundy pleaded guilty to violating the suspect’s civil rights and was sentenced on October 17, 2013, to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $3,745 in restitution.
