Buford Kenton – Las Vegas Police Department

In October 2018, Sergeant Buford Kenton was involved in the fatal shooting of Lloyd Napouk, a man holding a toy sword. The incident occurred after a brief negotiation, and Napouk was shot despite not posing an immediate threat. A wrongful death lawsuit was filed against Kenton and the department, alleging excessive and unreasonable use of force.
