Captain Rod Light – Yakima Police Department

In 2012, Captain Rod Light was demoted for having sexual relationships with two female sergeants. An arbitrator later determined the discipline was unwarranted because department policy at the time did not specifically prohibit such relationships. Light was reinstated to his rank with back pay and benefits. The policy has since been revised to prohibit sexual relationships between supervisors and subordinates.
