Chad Carpenter – Draper Police Department

In 2019, former Lieutenant Chad Carpenter was charged with two counts of forcible sexual abuse after allegedly inappropriately touching a fellow officer who had complications from breast reduction surgery. He was placed on administrative leave and retired shortly thereafter. In August 2023, a jury found him not guilty on both counts after a brief deliberation.
