Charles Murphy – Lower Merion Police Department

In January 2023, Officer Charles Murphy used a Taser four times on Chaine Jordan during a traffic stop. Jordan filed a federal civil rights lawsuit alleging excessive force and violation of her rights. Murphy was suspended for 10 days and ordered to undergo training after supervisors determined he ‘did not use sound tactics’ during the incident.
