Chase Winkle – Muncie Police Department

On August 9, 2018, Officer Winkle assaulted arrestee L.G. by dropping his full bodyweight onto L.G.’s neck and head area, causing multiple facial fractures that required surgery. He then deployed a taser into L.G.’s back. Winkle authored a false report to cover up the incident. He pleaded guilty to multiple civil rights and obstruction charges and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
