Chris Miles – Tallassee Police Department

In April 2013, as Assistant Police Chief, Miles beat a prisoner during an interrogation by striking him multiple times with a thick packet of paper and slapping him across the face and head. He also stole approximately 16 pounds of marijuana from the police evidence room and sold it. Miles pleaded guilty to civil rights violations, false statements, and drug distribution charges, receiving a 41-month prison sentence on March 25, 2016.
