Clint Breland – Hattiesburg Police Department

In 2011, Officer Clint Breland, then 34 years old, initiated a traffic stop involving 16-year-old Christan Damiens. Following the stop, Breland and Damiens exchanged personal information and began meeting both on and off duty. Within weeks, they engaged in a sexual relationship lasting six to eight months. An internal investigation revealed that Breland violated multiple provisions of the City’s Administrative Operations Manual, including conduct unbecoming an officer, neglect of duty, and abuse of city time. Consequently, Breland’s employment was terminated on February 3, 2015. His termination was upheld by the Hattiesburg Civil Service Commission and later affirmed by the Forrest County Circuit Court. Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Violation of these rules will result in immediate content removal and possible account suspension.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
