In April 2015, Deputy Cody Malkiewicz was arrested and charged with perjury after providing false testimony in court on October 9, 2014, related to a July 12, 2014, traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of multiple pounds of marijuana. Following an internal investigation, Malkiewicz was terminated from the Sheriff’s Office.
