Commander Greg Couch – Teller County Sheriff’s Office

Former Commander Couch resigned in June 2021 and subsequently filed a lawsuit against Sheriff Mikesell, alleging constructive discharge and retaliation for reporting issues within the sheriff’s office. Couch claimed that after raising concerns about hiring practices and other internal matters, he faced adverse treatment leading to his resignation. The lawsuit, filed in April 2022, is ongoing as of March 2025.
