Craig Burns – Casper Police Department

In March 2022, Officer Burns assisted Officer Ramsay in responding to reports of Brenton Eckerson causing disturbances. Bodycam footage showed Burns entering Eckerson’s home without a warrant and participating in a physical altercation where Eckerson was struck multiple times. Eckerson sustained injuries, including a torn ACL. A federal lawsuit alleges violations of Eckerson’s First and Fourth Amendment rights, citing excessive force and unlawful entry.
