Curtis Lollar – Central Connecticut State University Police Department

Former Officer Curtis Lollar was accused of raping a female colleague on three separate occasions: twice in 2014 while on duty and once in 2016 at his home. The victim reported the incidents to her supervisor, but the department allegedly ignored her complaints and subjected her to public shaming and denial of backup during calls. Lollar was fired in September 2018 following an investigation that found the department had hired officers with ‘red flags’ in their backgrounds, contributing to a hostile culture. In August 2020, the university settled the lawsuit with the victim for $1.75 million.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
