Dante Ghi – North Charleston Police Department

In December 2018, former officer Dante Ghi faced his second lawsuit for false arrest. In October 2017, Ghi arrested 17-year-old John Jackson III for disorderly conduct after Jackson refused to move his basketball game away from his home. Body camera footage revealed Ghi’s aggressive approach, leading to allegations of false arrest, assault, and defamation. Ghi resigned from the department in September 2018 during pending internal investigations involving policy violations.
