In 2002, Sergeant David DeAngelis engaged in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female cadet from the Warwick Police Explorer Program. Charged with conduct unbecoming an officer, a Hearing Committee found him guilty and imposed a 20-day suspension without pay.
