David Prejean – Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office

In 2012, Sergeant David Prejean was involved in a jail shakedown where he assaulted inmate Marcus Robicheaux, including the use of a police dog. This incident was captured on video and led to federal charges. Prejean pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison. Robicheaux received a $275,000 settlement in 2019.
