Dee Rowland – Payson Police Department

In April 2005, Chief Dee Rowland resigned following recommendations for disciplinary action due to his handling of a child sex-abuse case. The city attorney’s report criticized Rowland for inappropriate actions during incidents on April 10 and December 22, 2004, including a confrontation with Bikers Against Child Abuse and a contentious meeting with the victim’s mother. Rowland stated he was unaware of the disciplinary recommendation at the time of his resignation.

Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
