Deputy Daniel Corn – Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

In 2004, Deputy Daniel Corn was named in a civil lawsuit filed by George R. Baker Jr. and his wife, alleging excessive force during an arrest. The lawsuit claimed that Corn was violent upon arrival at a dispute between Baker and his neighbor, and that he pushed Baker’s 3-year-old son. Additionally, Baker alleged he was denied his diabetes medication while in custody. The lawsuit sought at least $10,000 in restitution for mental anguish and humiliation. The case was dismissed in 2005 at the request of attorneys from both sides.
