In October 2018, Deputy Jon Hart was arrested for engaging in sexual relations with an underage girl in his patrol vehicle while in uniform. He pleaded guilty in September 2019 to first-degree official misconduct and sexual assault. In December 2019, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail, five years of probation, and required to register as a sex offender and undergo sex offense-specific treatment.
