Deputy Joshua Godchaux was named in a 2014 lawsuit by Mr. Bradley, alleging wrongful arrest and detention in 2009. Bradley was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, detained, and later found not guilty in 2013. The lawsuit claimed malicious prosecution and wrongful detention. The court dismissed the federal claims as time-barred and declined to exercise jurisdiction over state law claims. No documented disciplinary action was taken against Godchaux.
