Deputy Michael Leiter – Clallam County Sheriff’s Office

In January 2019, Deputy Michael Leiter was suspended for 30 days without pay after admitting to sending inappropriate, sexually suggestive text messages to an alleged domestic violence victim using his work cellphone. The text exchanges occurred between January 1 and January 4, 2019. Leiter returned to work on February 6, 2019, after apologizing for violating department policy.
