In November 2022, Deputy Noel and Lt. Henry Trujillo tased a handcuffed man, Kenneth Espinoza, multiple times, including in the face, during a traffic stop. They provided conflicting orders and escalated the situation, leading to excessive use of force. Both deputies were terminated in August 2023 following an investigation.
