Deputy Mirzet Sacirovic – Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office

Between 2018 and 2020, Deputy Sacirovic was accused of facilitating inmate assaults by remotely opening cell doors (‘door popping’) to allow inmates to attack others. Additionally, allegations included supplying contraband and granting inmates access to unauthorized devices. An investigation was initiated in 2022, and while criminal charges were not pursued due to insufficient evidence, a professional standards investigation was launched to address the misconduct.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
