On November 8, 2017, Deputy Rodriguez was involved in the arrest of Mr. Bernier. Bernier alleged that Deputy Rodriguez and other officers used excessive force during the arrest, resulting in serious injuries that required hospitalization. Bernier also claimed that the officers made derogatory comments and retaliated against him for criticizing their actions.
