Deputy Steven Collins was reported for making repeated racist remarks, including using the N-word and making disparaging comments about Mexicans in front of Deputy Brittany Martinez, who is of Mexican descent. These incidents occurred around November 2014. Following an internal investigation, Collins was suspended for three days for unbecoming conduct.
