Deputy Tanner – Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department

Deputy Tanner was implicated in the 2009 fatal shooting of Mr. Webb. Allegations included involvement in a hasty and inadequate investigation designed to absolve deputies from liability and making false statements about the circumstances of Mr. Webb’s death. A lawsuit filed by Mr. Webb’s family accused him of wrongful death and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
