Deputy Travis ‘Clay’ Depew – West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office

In 2017, Deputy Depew was fired from the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office after using his squad car to follow his ex-girlfriend and misusing department equipment to run license plates of vehicles at her home. In 2021, while serving as a Jackson town marshal, he was convicted of simple battery for choking a Black teenager and using racial slurs during an incident at a convenience store. Despite these convictions, he continued to serve in law enforcement roles.
