In the same May 6, 2016 incident, Deputy Cravens was implicated by inmate Hollis Devin Martz for allegedly denying decontamination and medical care after Martz was inadvertently hit with pepper spray. The court granted qualified immunity to Cravens, concluding that the law was not clearly established on the issue of delayed decontamination or medical care without prior excessive force.
