In 2007, Deputy Warren Gary purchased a vehicle from a suspect, Connie Siler, while she was incarcerated. He then sold the vehicle for a profit without collecting any evidence, despite allegations that it was used to transport a murder victim’s body. This raised significant concerns about evidence mishandling and ethical conduct within the Sheriff’s Office.
