Investigation
Over the past decade, the Overland Park Police Department has faced several incidents involving officer misconduct. Notable cases include unauthorized use of foundation funds by multiple officers, leading to resignations; inappropriate sharing of evidence on social media resulting in license revocation; and fatal use-of-force incidents under federal investigation. Disciplinary actions have ranged from terminations and resignations to revocation of police licenses. These incidents have raised concerns about department-wide accountability and oversight.
