In December 2013, Sgt. Donald Duran assaulted his girlfriend, Camille Aragon, by punching her in the back of the head and choking her multiple times during an altercation outside a fundraiser at the Fraternal Order of Police lodge. This incident led to Duran losing his job and his state license to be a police officer.
