Donald Kent – Conway Police Department

In 2016, Officer Donald Kent was found to have knowingly lied to obtain a search warrant, leading to the wrongful conviction of Adam Robinson for drug trafficking. Robinson served nearly six years in prison before his conviction was overturned by the state Supreme Court. Following the court’s decision, the Conway Police Department terminated Kent’s employment in September 2016. A federal lawsuit filed by Robinson against the department was settled, though the settlement amount was not disclosed.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
