Dustin T. Watkins – McCreary County Sheriff’s Office

In March 2025, former deputy Dustin T. Watkins was indicted for first-degree rape related to a 2020 incident while he was serving as a McCreary County Sheriff’s Deputy. The indictment followed an investigation by the Kentucky State Police, and Watkins was arrested in Lexington. At the time of his arrest, he was employed as an officer with the Transylvania Police Department. The university suspended him without pay pending the judicial process.
