In September 2024, Officer Eric Hendrix, serving as a School Resource Officer at Tolleson Union High School, was involved in an incident where he used force on a student. Surveillance footage showed Hendrix taking the student to the wall and allegedly punching him multiple times. The school district superintendent deemed the force unnecessary and requested his removal from the school. Hendrix claimed he was pressured to leave and faced a hostile work environment. The Tolleson Police Department reviewed the incident and found no issues with Hendrix’s conduct.
