Eric Pieschek – Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office

In 2022, former high-ranking deputy Eric Pieschek was charged with stalking a former girlfriend and attempting to poison her horse. The victim reported that after their breakup, Pieschek continued to contact her and was seen near her property. Apples found near her horses tested positive for poison. Pieschek pleaded no contest to attempted poisoning of an animal and two counts of disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. The felony stalking charge was dismissed but read into the plea. He was placed on administrative leave in 2022 and later retired from the department.

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
